2. Check the interface cable.
Check the connection of the interface cable at the printer and at the computer. A loose interface cable can generate random errors and error messages which could make identifying the cause of the problem very difficult. Make sure that both connections are secure.
• Print job will not start.
Examples: No error messages displayed on the screen.

Check to see if the printer is connected to the computer correctly.
• Print result is abnormal.
Example: Strange characters are printing. (☞94)
The printer interface cable may be damaged. Replace it with a new interface cable and try to print again.
3. Check the Computer.
The problem may exist in the software application or in the computer system.
• Print job will not execute with a particular application software.
Examples: Print job halts and will not complete. (☞105)
Only part of the document prints. (☞105)
Try printing with another software application to confirm that the problem exists in the software application.
The printer does not print with other software applications
