4. Reset the operation count for the low-ink warning

For every ink cartridge replaced, press and hold down the RESET

button for the required number of beeps.

When the low-ink warning is switched on, you must execute the procedure above. If you fail to execute this procedure, the low-ink warning will not be reset and the CHARGE/ERROR lamp will not extinguish.

If you use the printer driver to replace the ink cartridge, this procedure is not required. Follow the procedures described in the Windows Printer Driver Guide or the Macintosh Printer Driver Guide. The low-ink warning will be reset automatically by pressing the CARTRIDGE button at the last step of the replacement procedure.

Press the CARTRIDGE button again to return the printer to the

Switching off the low-ink warning

 

 

 

 

1.

Press the POWER button to switch the printer off.

 

 

2.

Press and hold down the POWER button until you hear 7 beeps

 

 

 

then release it. This switches the low-ink warning off.

 

 

If you released the POWER button at the wrong time, just repeat the

procedure from Step 1.
