Compact portable design

The printer’s extremely compact design and light weight allow it to fit easily into a briefcase. Despite its small size the printer has full colour printing capability on plain paper and a variety of other media. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack allows you to operate the printer without connecting the AC adapter. The battery pack will print up to 100 pages of normal black text at 1,500 characters per page.

High resolution colour (720 dpi)

With the Color BJ Cartridge BC-11e mounted in the printer, you can print at 720 dpi (720 dpi horizontal x 360 dpi vertical) to reproduce quality documents and images even on plain paper. The Color BJ Cartridge BC-11e employs two different sizes of ink droplets in varied patterns to create images of higher quality than ever before. The Black BJ Cartridge BC-10 prints crisp, clear document text economically with less ink and at high speed. The Color BJ Cartridge BC-12e Photo reproduces beautiful, natural colour in photographic images captured with a scanner or digital camera.

A variety of interface connections

This printer is provided with a USB and infra-red port. The USB connection can be used with an IBM compatible PC running Windows 98/Windows 2000, or Macintosh series which supports standard USB interface. The infrared port on an IBM compatible PC with Windows 98/Windows 2000 can be used for wireless printer connection between the printer and computer, or connection between the printer and PDA (Personal Digital Assistant).

Scanner feature

By switching the black or colour BJ Cartridge with the optional Color Image Scanner Cartridge IS-12, you can turn the printer into a colour image scanner.
