Printout is not clear or has white streaks
Try printing a nozzle check pattern
Check to see if the orange protective cap or tape has been re-attached to the print head
Make sure that you are printing on the correct print side
Strange characters printing

In the Chooser, click the BJC-55 icon, then click the Close box.
Normal Abnormal Strange characters
Check interface cable connections at the printer and computer
Check to see if a print job has been canceled before completion
Determine if the problem exists only within a particular document
Cannot start the print job
The printer does not respond when the print job is executed from the computer.
Check the printer status and its cable connections
Make sure the printer is ready for printing and that the cable is connected correctly.
Check to see if Canon BJC-55 Series printer has been selected as the default printer

Check to see if you are printing a large text or large image

Check the ink level in the ink cartridges
Have you been executing a long print job on battery power only?
Check to see if you have aborted the BJ Cartridge replacement
Error Number: *300 appears on the screen and print job does not execute
Make sure that the printer is switched on
Check the printer and the interface cable
Check to see if the background printing is operating properly
Make sure that the printer driver has been installed correctly
Type x Error appears on the screen
Determine if any other software applications are open
Determine if sufficient memory is available
Check to see if there is a sufficient available space on the hard disk of your computer
