Check interface cable connections at the printer and computer
Interface cable could be defective. Replace it with a new interface cable and resume printing.

If you cancel print job during printing, the data remaining in the printer |

restart the computer and the printer and start the print job again. If you |

are using Windows, click the Start button, point to Programs, click BJ |

Printer, then click BJ Printer Monitor and cancel the print job. |

Determine if the problem exists only within a particular document
If the printer prints strange characters only when printing a specific document, then it is likely that the file or the function used by the document is causing the problem. To correct this error, try creating the same document in a newly created file and then print the new document. If this new file prints normally, then the problem exists within the file. If the problem persists, with the new file, then call for service. (☞145)
