Headset safety

Whenyou use a headset, set the volume to a safe level. Permanent hearing loss or damage may occur if you
usea headsetat high volume.
Donot use a headset at high volume to block out other noise. Lower the volume if you cannot hear people
speakingnear you.
Ifyou experience ringing in your ears, muffled voices, or other signs of hearing loss or damage, stop using
yourheadset and have your hearing checked.

Bluetooth wireless headset performance

CiscoDX600 Series phones support Bluetooth Class 2 technology when the headsets support Bluetooth.
Bluetoothenables low-bandwidth wireless connections within a rangeof 30 feet (10 meters). The best
performanceis in the 3- to 6-foot (1- to 2-meter) range. You can connect up to five headsets, but only the last
connectedheadset is used as the default.
Becausepotential interference issues can occur, Cisco recommends that you move 802.11b/g devices, Bluetooth
devices,microwave ovens, and large metal objects away from the wireless headset.
Fora Bluetooth wireless headset to work, it does not need to be within direct line-of-sight of the phone. Some
barriers,such aswalls ordoors, andinterference from otherelectronic devices, canaffect the Bluetooth
connection.
