D-160 Owner's manual (SETUP mode)

11-a. When the D-160 has successfully loaded song data, “COMPLETED!” will be displayed.

Press the EXIT/NO key to cancel the message and return to the normal time base display.

*Press either the STOP button or EXIT/NO key to return from the second step menu to the first or to quit SETUP mode. The menu will go backwards each time you press either key. If you press these keys after you have started the loading process at Item 10, only the data that has already been loaded will be effective.

The data that has not been loaded yet will be void.

Load from “adat”

5-b. Choose “adat” with the JOG dial and press the EXECUTE/YES key.

The display will show “LOAD” and flashing “SURE?”. The display will also start to flash the currently chosen load target program number on the internal hard disk drive, which you are loading the song data back to.

6-b. With the JOG dial, choose the program number which you want to load on on to.

You can choose any program available on the internal IDE drive to load song data to.

If you want to load the data onto a new program rather than the program already available, choose “New PGM” at this stage.

7-b. Press the EXECUTE/YES key. The display will show “LOAD” .

The display will also start showing the menu from which you can choose the tracks you want to load on to. Choose the setting with the JOG dial.

The available loading track settings are ;

1-8, 1-16, 1-24, 9-16, 9-24, 17-24. We recommend you should choose the loading tracks in the same way as when you saved the data.

8-b. Press the EXECUTE/YES key after you have chosen the tracks you want.

The display will start flashing “SURE?”.

9-b. Press the EXECUTE/ YES key once again.

The display will show “Play adat!”. This means the D-160 is asking you to start playing back the adat machine connected to the D-160, which has a tape recorded with the song data.

10-b. Start playing back the adat.

The display will show “REMAIN”. For your information, you need to set the clock source of the adat unit as INTERNAL when you play back the tape.

In a few seconds, the D-160 recognizes the pilot signal from the adat.

The display will then start showing the program number to loading to and the counting down time display indicating how long the load process is going take. The D-160 has now started loading the data. The actual load process is start at the moment the display starts showing count down time.

Loading from adat is done via using an 8 track adat signal one after the other, e.g. 1-8 then 9-16 then 16-24. While loading, the D-160 will display track 1-8 indicators flashing with their level meters moving.

Load from “SCSI” (Song Data Load)

5-c. Choose “SCSI” with the JOG dial and press the EXECUTE/YES key.

The display will show “LOAD”. The display will also start to flash the currently chosen load source song number saved on the SCSI drive, which you are loading the data from.

6-c. With the JOG dial, choose a song number you want to load.

You can choose any ONE or ALL of the programs (songs) available in the external SCSI drive to load the data from.

7-c. Choose the song number with the JOG dial and press the EXECUTE/YES key.

The display will show “LOAD” and flash “SURE?”. The display will also start to flash the currently chosen load target program number on the internal hard disk drive.
