Installing a CD-Writer Plus in an Empty Drive Bay

6A. Write down the CD-Writer Plus’ serial number in the space below. The serial number is on the main label on the top of the drive.

7A. Read the Install Recommendation you printed earlier (see page 1-4). The Install Recommendation tells you whether the jumper on the CD-Writer Plus should be set as Master or Slave for your computer.

8A. Find the pairs of pins labeled Master, Slave, and Cable Select on the back of the CD-Writer Plus. Notice that one pair of pins has a small plastic cap or jumper. This jumper can be pulled off using your fingers, tweezers, or needlenose pliers, and placed on a different pair of pins to change the setting.
