		You can load a previously saved host ﬁle.
		A new host ﬁle cannot be opened if there are any surveillance schedules running on any

		of the hosts currently displayed; each surveillance schedule must ﬁrst be stopped using
		the System Manager screen. See “Stopping Schedules on Agent Hosts” on page 51.

Step	1. Bring up the Open dialog (Figure 6-11) with one of:
		• Choose the Edit > Open menu item
		• Press Ctrl-O

Step	2.	Click on a ﬁle name in the list.
Step	3.	Click on Open to open the ﬁle or Cancel to exit without changing host ﬁles.
		The hosts are displayed on the Host Manager screen. The monitored hosts are also
		displayed on the System Manager screen.

Using Multiple Host Files

To use multiple host ﬁles to monitor varying sets of agent hosts, the following suggestions may be useful:

•Since the sentinal.hosts ﬁle is always loaded when the System Manager starts, do not enable any of the hosts in it. This prevents the System Manager from polling any of the agent hosts.

•After you start the System Manager, load the host ﬁle of your choice. It can have hosts enabled in it.

•To switch to another host set without stopping your current agents, exit from the System Manager and restart it. Then load the new host ﬁle.
