Note: Refer to ªHandling Static-Sensitive DevicesºªHandling Static-Sensitive Devicesº on page 3-2 before removing or installing the CPU card in this system.

Removal

1.Depending on the type of CPU card, do either the ªCPU Cardº removal procedure on page 3-30 or the ªCPU Card for the Model 39Hº removal procedure on page 3-31.

2.Pull the release tab on the L2 cache connector away from the CPU card

3.Pull the L2 cache out of the connector on the CPU card, and then remove the L2 cache.
