The text-based Open Firmware command line and

System Management Services are

available

if an ASCII terminal is attached

to

your system unit. The text-based Open

Firmware

command line allows you to configure

some adapters, and the System

Management

Services makes it possible for you

to view information about your

system unit and to perform such tasks as setting passwords and changing device

configurations.

If

you

have pressed8 key,thethe Open Firmware

command line (an "OK" prompt)

self tests (POST) are complete.

The

Open
