Reprogram Service Processor Flash EPROM. Selecting that item starts the update

 

 

 

process.

The

requests

the update diskette(s) as needed. After inserting the

first

diskette and informing the system, the process continues automatically. If

the

process requires user assistance, it

is

AIX

DOS

utilities

package

to

proce

diskette. You

the

file. This

service

aiddosreaduses commandthe

the flash update image file, an error is reported. If

this

occurs, exit the service aid, increase/var filethesystemsize andof theretry the

 

 

 

 

 

service aid. After the file

 

is copied, a warning screen

will ask for confirmation to

continue the flash update. Continuing the flash update

will

eventually

cause

the

 

 

system

to

reboot

and

return

to

the

AIX

login

prompt. After

the

system

unit

reboots,

the file/var/update_flash_image

 

 

can

be removed to conserve space/var filein the
