MAKE SURE THERE IS NOT TOO MUCH PAPER IN THE PAPER TRAY

Make sure the paper does not exceed the maximum paper fill indicator located in the tray or feeder.

MAKE SURE THE ENTIRE PAPER STACK IS SITTING FLAT IN THE TRAY

Before loading the paper, do the following:

Flex the sheets back and forth to loosen them. Do not fold or crease the paper.

Straighten the edges on a level surface.

CHECK THE PAPER GUIDES

Move the guides in the tray to the correct positions for the paper size loaded.

LOAD PAPER FROM A FRESH PACKAGE

The paper may have absorbed moisture due to high humidity. Store paper in its original wrapper until you use it.

Paper jam message remains after jam is cleared

1Clear any jammed paper from all specified locations.

2From the printer control panel, select Continue to clear the message. For nontouchscreen printer models, press

to confirm.

Jammed pages are not reprinted

TURN ON JAM RECOVERY

1Depending on your printer model, press or touch .

2From the printer control panel, navigate to: Settings > General Settings > Print Recovery

3Select the arrows next to Jam Recovery until On or Auto appears.

4Press or touch to confirm.
