EXTERNAL ZIP DRIVE FEATURE
An SCSI Iomega Zip® 100MB or Zip® 250MB drive can be
connected to the SCSI port of the SuperScript 4600N. The
drive must be connected and the Zip cartridge must contain
files when the printer is turned on. You can then set up your
print job either through the Web or the printer’s Operator
Panel. You can print files with the .prn, .ps, .jpg, or .eps
extensions.
note: A parallel port Zip drive will not work with this
printer.

Connecting the Zip Drive

Perform these steps to connect the Zip drive to your printer.
1. With the printer OFF, connect the Zip drive to the SCSI
port on the back Interface Panel of the printer (A).
2. Set the Zip drive terminator to ON.
3. Set the SCSI ID switch to 5.
4. Plug the Zip drive into the power supply, then turn on
the printer (B).
5. If you are also connecting a scanner to the printer, see
page 69.
