Looking at Switch Settings

The following figure shows the default switch settings. Switch setting descriptions follow the figure.

Default switch settings

Never use a pencil to change switch settings. Residue from the pencil can damage the system.

Using a fine-tipped object to gently change a switch setting between “ON” or “OFF.”

Switch 1, Keyboard Select — The default setting is “ON” for U.S. keyboard.

Switch 2, Keyboard Select — The default setting is “OFF” for U.S. keyboard.

Switch 3, Reserved for Factory Use — The default setting is “OFF.”

Switch 4, Password Override Switch — The default setting is “OFF.” If you forget your password and cannot access the data on your NEC Versa, change the setting to

T“ON” to erase your current password.

Switch 5, Reserved for Factory Use — The default setting is “OFF.”
