Using the Private Handsfree Headset
When th e Private Handsf r ee H eadset is pl ugged into the p hone, you can
have a phone conve rs at io n wi th out holding the phone to your ear. The
other person’s voice is he ar d th ro ugh the Private H andsfree Headset’s
earpiece. When you speak, your voice is picked up by the Private
Handsfr ee H eadset’s microphone .
Note: Before attach in g the Private Han ds free Headset , rem ove
the plug from th e headset/T TY connector at the bot tom left side
of your phone. Store the plug in a saf e place so you w ill be able
to cover the connector when necessary.
Attach the Private Hand sf re e H ea dset to your phone as sho wn.
1Securely plug the Private Handsfree Headset connector into the side of
the phone. This will automatica lly d isab le th e speak er and mic ro pho ne
in the phone.
2Attach the Private Handsfree Headset clip to your clothes.
3Insert th e earpiece i nt o your ear.
4During co nversation, increase or decrease volum e t o a comfortab le
level by pr essing or on the phone’s center navigation key.
5The micro phone picks up your voice fro m its hanging pos i tion.
Note: Once the Private Handsfree Headset is connected, you
can custo m iz e t he r in g volume, key volume , an d voice volu m e
settings for handsfree u se. R i ng volume an d key volum e can be
changed i n th e Tone Setting s m enu. Voice volume c an be
custom ized during co nversation as indica ted above. When you
disconn ect t he Pr ivat e H andsfree Headset, you r ph one will go
back to the settings pro gr am med for standard handheld use.
Caution: The use of an ear insert device while driving may
violate the l aws of some states/provinces. Be sur e t o check
applicabl e s ta te /p ro vi ncial laws bef or e using this de vi ce.
