Standby Display

The standby display appears when your phone is on and in an idle state.
You can return to the standby display at any time (except during a call) by
pressing or by pres sing and holdi ng . The backli ght turns on
autom at ical l y for 15 secon ds when you po w er up t he phone or when you
press any key.

will not be dis pl ayed unles s you are in your home servi c e ar ea. )
Note: The backligh t remains on when the p hon e i s pl ugged into
a DC Adapter.

Moving through the Menu

You access the Main Me nu from the st andby display:
MENU is displayed on the bottom left side of the display. To access the
Main Menu, press the corresponding softkey ( ) on the keypad just
below where MENU is displaye d. Afte r en te ring the Main M enu, press
either soft key ( or ) to select th e op tions displa yed above the m .
Within the menu, the se lect ed feature or function is i ndicated by an ar r ow
( ). Use the navigation key scroll areas as des cribed in the tabl e on page
10.
When an option is selected using the softkeys, the display changes to offer
another level of softke y options. Thi s pr ocess con t inues until you have
responded to all displ ay prompts and option s f or a par ticular softk ey.

Shortcut Keys

You can quickly access many of the phones features by pressing shortcut
keys instead of scroll in g through the num bered options on the disp la y. For
a complete lis t o f th e sh ortc ut keys, refer to th e Menu Ma p on th e ins id e of
the front cov er. For example, yo u ca n sel ect Key Volume by pressing
(MENU ), t hen press (Tone Settings) and (Key Volume).
