66 Service Provider Features

-To delete al l me ssages in the I nbox or Outbox, scroll to Delete All
and press (OK). See Deleting Al l Inbo x or Outbox M essages
on page 69.
-To look at m essages in t he O utbox, scro ll to Outbox and press
(OK). SeeViewing Outbo x M essages on page 68.

Reading New Text Messages

When a new text message is rece ived an alert soun ds, unless you have
selected None fro m the M essage Alert menu (see Selecting a M es sage
Alert on page 47). appear s on the top of the di splay.
If you have received 30 messages, the oldest (unlocked) read message
will be overwritten when you receive a new message.
If the envelope icon is dark ( ), you have 30 unread (including locked)
messages waiting and the inbox is full. SeeDeleting a Text Message
on page 68 and delete a message.
The display indicates how many new text messages you have received.
1Press (VIEW) to vi ew t he inbox message list.
The display icons indicate the message status:
:Unread message
:Locked message
:Read message
The urgency level of the received message is also displayed:
!! :Very urgent message
! :Urgent message
:Normal message
:Bulk message
2If you have one new message, pre ss (OPE N) to read it. Then
press to scroll through the rece pt io n t ime, sender, picture (if
attached) and message. If a melody was also included, it will play while
you scroll through th e new messa ge and picture (if att ached).
OR
If you have m o r e t ha n one message, s cr ol l thr ou gh t he l i st of
messag es. When the ar row points to the m essage you want to read,
press (OPEN) and press to scroll through the re ception time,
sender, and m essage.
3Once yo u re ad a message, you can pr ess (CLOSE) to close th e
message.
