Programming Pauses or Waits

This featu re is useful when you ar e pl acing a call that re qui r es entry of
addition al digi t s once the call connects (for ex am ple, you may have to
enter a pa ss w or d or PIN to acces s your voice ma i l).
1Enter the ph one number.
2To enter a Pau se or W ait ti m e, press and hol d unti l a P or a W
appears after the entered phone number.
If you program a Pause (P), the digits following it are automatically
transmitted during a call after a two-second delay.
To program more than a two-second Pause, enter multiple Ps.
If you program a W ait (W), the digits following it are not transmitted
during a call until you press or (SEND).
3Continu e t o ent er digits, Pauses, and Waits as needed.
In this sample display, the first seven digits are the
phone number to dial. The W (Wait) indicates that
the phone will wait until you press to
transmit the digits 901. The P (Pause) indicates
that the phone will then automatically transmit
3456 two seconds after 901 is transmitted.

Note: When you dial a Spe ed Dial number w ith P aus es or
Waits em bedded, yo u wi ll not be able to turn on th e
Speakerp hone until the Pause or Wait commands have
completed.

Saving a Displayed Phone Number

1When a phone numbe r is di sp la yed, press (SAVE).
You can save the number as: Home #, Work #, Cell #,
or
Other # .
2Scroll to the applicable phone number type and press (OK) to store
the phone num ber.
3To ent er additional infor m at i on and to save y our phone numbe r,
continue with step 3 in Crea ting a Phonebook Ent ry o n page 32.

Editing/Deleting a Phonebook Entry

1From standby, press ( ) to enter the Pho nebook.
2Press (OK) to select Search.
Depending on your phones search method setting, the display prompts
you to enter First Name, Last Name, o r Location #. (To change the
search method setting, see Selecting a Phonebook Search Method on
page 36.)
3Enter the name, a portion of the name, or the memory location number
and press (FIND or O K).
