the Phone book entry.

Dialing a Phonebook Entry from the Menu

1From standby, press ( ) to enter the P honebook.
2Press (OK) to sele ct Search.
Depending on your phones search method setting, the display prompts
you to enter Fir s t Name, Last Name, or Location #. (To change the
search method setting, see Selecting a Phonebook Search Method on
page 36.)
3Enter the name, a portion of the name, or the memory location number
and press (FIND or O K) .
Note: If you do not ente r an yt hi ng for the first or last nam e, th e
display goes to the first letter of the alphabet for which you have
a Phonebook entry.
4If needed, pr ess or to scroll to th e num ber you w ant to call .
When the list of names appears, the following indicates there is no name
entry for a number saved in the Phonebook: "----,----".
5When the arrow points to the entry of your choice, press (VIEW) to
view the Phonebook entry.
6Press or to scroll to the phone numb er you w ant to call, an d
pre ss to pl ace the call .

Super Dial

Super Dial lets y ou quick l y dial a phone number by press i ng and holding a
digit key on your keypad. Before you can use Super Dia l , yo u m us t cr ea te
entries in your Phonebook and the n as si gn t hem to Super D ial keys. See
Creating a Super Dial Entry on page 34.
Note: When you pu rc hase your phone, the key is
programmed as a Super Dial key to call the emergency number
911 . However, yo u have to enable Em ergency C al l bef or e you
can use it. See Emergency Call on page 57.
When E m er gency Call is disabled (se t to O ff), you can assign
as a Super Dial key for a number in your Phonebook. You
should always be aware of whether Emergency Call is set to
On or Off.

assign ed t o a number in you r Ph onebook.
If Emergency Call is set to O n, pressing and holding will call 911.
The number is dialed and the name is displayed as it is listed in your
Phonebook entry.
If there is no phone number assigned to the digit key, Super Dial N o t
Assigned is displayed.
