Vibration

alert to vibration.

Warning Tone

A warning tone is emitted when the battery charge is low, when attempting
to automa t ic ally re di al a number, and whe n poweri ng on the phone. Th e
Warning Tone se tting allows you to turn so m e w ar ni ng tones on and off.
You cannot dis able or adj ust the l ow battery warning tone.The low battery
warning t one sou nds even if you are using the ph one.
1From standby, press (MENU ) to ent er the M ain Menu.
2Scroll to Tone Settings a nd pr es s ( O K) .
3Scroll to Warning Tone and press (OK).
4To change the setting, scroll to the other option and press (OK) to
select.
Note: The low battery warn ing sounds re gardless of Warning
Tone settings.
If your call cannot be completed because of a w i re le ss syst em error, you

Voice Ring

The Voice Ring ite m on t he Tone Se ttings men u l et s yo u record a voi ce
messag e t hat w ill be played w hen you recei ve a call or a tex t message.
To sel ect Voice Ring as your ring or message aler t typ e, see Selecti ng a
Ring Alert on page 46 or Selecting a M ess age Alert on page 47.
Note: This feature will not operate while you are in an analog
service ar ea.
Tip: For better qual ity so und, recor d your Voice Ring usi ng th e
Pr i vate Ha ndsfree Headset. You can see the visual prompts on
the phone s display and hear th e audible on es t hr ough the
earpiece. The microphone in the Pr ivat e H andsfre e H ead set
picks up y our voi ce clearly f ro m its hanging position.
Warning Tone Description
Droppe d ca ll tone A slow busy tone sounds when your call drops because of
low signal strength or if the other person hangs up.
Reorder tone A fast busy tone sounds when the cellular system is too
busy to comp lete the call.
Intercept tone A rapid high/low tone sounds when a call is attempted
before s ervice has been esta blished. B efore pl acing a call,
confirm that you are within a wireles s serv ice provider’s
coverage area.
