Editing and Saving a Configuration Option

The following example shows how to change the Remote Access Password using the DCP. (If you ever intend to access another 3800Plus Series modem via the Remote branch of the Top-Level menu, the Remote Access Password must be the same for both modems.) By following these procedures you learn how to load a factory preset configuration area (in this case, Async Dial), how to edit a configuration option (Remote Access Password), and how to save changes to a configuration area (Active (Saved)). The shaded key indicates what key to press.
