Reset Command

Resets the switch configuration parameters. If you omit the keyword, the default is Reset Switch.

blade [slot_number]

 

Resets the I/O or cross-connect blade that occupies the slot given by

 

[slot_number]. I/O blade slot numbers are 1–4 and 6–9; cross-connect slot

 

numbers are 11–12.

 

config [config_name]

 

Resets the configuration given by [config_name] to the factory default values for

 

switch, port, alarm threshold, and zoning configuration. If [config_name] does not

 

exist on the switch, a configuration with that name will be created. If you omit

 

[config_name], the active configuration is reset. You must activate the

 

configuration for the changes to take effect. Refer to Table B-5through Table B-8

 

for switch, port, and alarm threshold configuration default values.

 

factory

 

Resets switch configuration, port configuration, alarm threshold configuration,

 

zoning configuration, SNMP configuration, system configuration, security

 

configuration, and zoning to the factory default values. The switch configuration is

 

activated automatically. Refer to Table B-5through Table B-10.

 

port [port_number]

 

Reinitializes the port given by [port_number]. Ports are numbered beginning

 

with 0.

 

security

 

Clears the security database and deactivates the active security set. The security

 

configuration value, autosave, and fabric binding remain unchanged. Refer to

 

Table B-11for security configuration default values.

 

snmp

 

Resets the SNMP configuration settings to the factory default values. Refer to

 

Table B-9for SNMP configuration default values.
