Choosing the Best Mounting Height

Make sure that you choose the appropriate mounting height for the directional antenna. You must consider the cable distance between the directional antenna and the CPU, and the level of accessibility for routing cable and mounting the CPU.

If the structure has an eave, RadioLAN recommends that you not place the antenna up so high into the eave that the roof blocks a line-of-sight view to the antenna on the distant Campus BridgeLINK™ building. Before securing the antenna to the wall, verify that you can see the distant directional antenna and that the line of site is clear of all obstructions.
