Stamp

When sending a fax message, the machine can stamp a circle mark at the bottom of the document. This stamp indicates that the document has been successfully stored in memory for Memory Transmission, or that it has been successfully sent for Immediate Transmission.

If the other party's fax machine does not have paper loaded of the same width as your document, use this feature to have your document image reduced to a suitable width during

transmission.3

Each time you press the {F3 Stamp} key, the indicator light is turned on and off. Turn it on or off if you wish this function to work.

Note

If a page was not stamped even though the Stamp feature is turned on, you need to resend that page.

If you use this feature often, you can adjust User Parameters so that the home setting is on. In this case, Stamp can easily be turned off for

any single transmission by press- ing the {F3 Stamp} key. See p.178 “User Parameters” (switch 00 bit 0).

When the stamp starts getting lighter, replace the cartridge. See p.234 “Enter the code for "Program Sender" with the number keys.” .

If you turn this feature off, the scale of the document is main- tained and some parts of the image may be lost when printed at the other end.
