Selects the procedure for the way in which new messages received from the network, are indicated to the TE when it is active, e.g. DTR signal is ON. If TE is inactive (DTR signal is OFF), message receiving is carried out as specified in GSM 03.38 (3G TS 23.038).
If the command fails and the error is related to mobile equipment or network, the final result code CMS ERROR: <err> is returned.
<mode> Description
3Forward unsolicited result codes directly to the TE. TA-TE link specific inband technique used to embed result codes and data when TA is in on-line data mode
<mt> Description
0No SMS-DELIVER indications are routed to the TE. No class, Class 0, class 1 and class 3 use <mem3> as preferred storage. Class 2 messages shall be stored in the SIM. If it this is not possible then the MS shall send an error message accordingly to GSM 03.38
1SMS-DELIVER is stored into ME/TA and the indication of the memory location is routed to the TE using unsolicited result code:
