The decimal charactercode of each characteris shown in an inset to the lower right of the character.
Thehexadecimalcodecanbe foundby readingtheentriesat the top andleft edgesof thetable. for example,the character“A” is in colurnn4 androw 1, so its hexadecimalcharactercodeis 41. this is equivalent(4x 16+ 1= 65) to decimal65, the numberin the inset.
