Short test mode

If the printeris turnedon whilethe ( ONLINE ) buttonis pressed,the printerwill enterthe shortself-testmode.The printerwill start printingas soon as the ( ONLINE ) buttonis released,and will print the version numberof the printer’sROM, followedby six lines of the characterset.

Each line will be offsetby one characterfrom the one before it. The final result will be somethinglike the following.

Since the test print occupiesthe whole width of the carriage,it is recom- mended that the printer is loaded with continuous stationery to avoid possibledamageto the print head and/orplaten.
