Locking the Keypad

You can lock the keypad to prevent accidental interruptions of the scanner's current operation.

∙To lock the keypad, press FUNCTION + tap BACKLIGHT. The scanner display shows Keypad Lock On and turns on the keypad lock icon in the upper left corner.

∙All keys are disabled except for HOLD, BACKLIGHT, and SELECT- VOLUME-SQUELCH(Volume level only).

∙To unlock the keypad, press FUNCTION + tap BACKLIGHT. The scanner display shows Keypad Lock Off and turns off the keypad lock icon.
