39.Edit Talk Group ID

All Talk Group IDs must be in the proper format for each system type.

Motorola Type I Systems

Enter the Talk Group ID in the following format:

BFFF-SS

∙B = Block # (1 digit)

∙F = Fleet # (2-3 digits)

∙S = Sub-Fleet # (1-2 digits)

Press the decimal key to enter the hyphen.

(If you try to enter a hexadecimal TGID for a Type I system, the scanner treats the entry as a decimal number.)

Motorola Type II Systems

∙Decimal format: Enter the TGID in numbers only, up to 5 digits

∙Hexadecimal format: up to 3 characters Select the first Hex character (0 through F), then move the cursor to the right and select the second character. Press yes when you're finished.

P25 Single Frequency Systems or Standard System Trunk Site

∙Decimal format: Enter the TGID in numbers only, up to 8 digits

∙Hexadecimal format: up to 6 characters

Select the first Hex character (0 through F), then move the cursor to the right and select the second character. Press yes when you're finished.

EDACS Wide or Narrow Systems

Enter the Talk Group ID in the following format:
