:ERRor?

SYSTem:ERRor? returns the error numbers and corresponding error messages in the error queue. See Appendix B in this manual for a listing of the error numbers, messages and descriptions.

Comments When an error is generated by the function generator, it stores an error number and corresponding message in the error queue.

One error is removed from the error queue each time the SYSTem:ERRor? command is executed. The errors are cleared in a first-in, first-out (FIFO) order. This means that if several errors are waiting in the queue, each SYSTem:ERRor? query returns the oldest (not the most recent) error. That error is then removed from the queue.

When the error queue is empty, subsequent SYSTem:ERRor? queries return +0,"No error". To clear all errors from the queue, execute the *CLS command.

The error queue has a maximum capacity of 20 errors. If the queue overflows, the last error is replaced with -350, "Too many errors". No additional errors are accepted by the queue until space becomes available (until you remove some of the errors by reading them).

year and "R" is the revision number within that year.
