Select Answer Mode

Press Receive Mode to select FAX/TEL, TAD, MANUAL or FAX ONLY. If you select FAX/ TEL, make sure you set Ring Delay and F/T Ring Time.

For the next fax only, press to select ON and press Set.

Sending Faxes

Automatic Transmission

1Place the original face down in the ADF.

2Enter the fax number using One Touch, Speed Dial, Search or the dial pad.

3Press Start.

Sending a Cover Page

1Place the original face down in the ADF.

2Press Function, 1, 3, 1.

3When NEXT FAX ONLY? appears, press Set.

4Pressorto select ON (or OFF) and press Set.

5Pressorto select a comment and press Set.

6Enter two digits to indicate the number of pages being sent and press Set.

7Press 1 to select additional settings

—OR—Press 2 if you are ready to fax.

8Enter the fax number.

9Press Start.

Real Time Transmission

You can send faxes in real time.

1Place the original face down in the ADF.

2Press Function, 1, 3, 9.

3Pressorto select ON and press Set—OR—For the next

transmission only, pressorto select NEXT FAX ONLY and press Set.

or

5Press 1 to select additional settings

—OR—Press 2 to fax. Enter the fax number. Press Start.

1Pick up the handset.

2Press Start if you hear fax tones (beeps).

3When the LCD shows RECEIVE, replace the handset.
