Chapter 5: Local Management

The following briefly explains each screen accessible from the Module Configuration Menu screen:

GENERAL CONFIGURATION

The General Configuration screen allows the user to monitor and configure operating parameters for the DLE2X-MA and DLE3X-MA. For details, refer to Section 5.15.

SNMP COMMUNITY NAMES

The SNMP Community Names screen allows the user to enter new, change, or review the community names used as access passwords for Local/Remote management operation. Access is limited based on the password level of the user. For details, refer to Section 5.16.

SNMP TRAPS

The SNMP Traps screen provides display and configuration access to the table of IP addresses used for trap destinations and associated community names. For details, refer to Section 5.17.

SWITCH CONFIGURATION

The Switch Configuration screen provides basic setup options for modifying the switching functions of the modules. For details, refer to Section 5.18.

ETHERNET FULL DUPLEX CONFIGURATION

The Ethernet Full Duplex Configuration screen allows each 10 Mbps port (1 to 24) to be set for either Standard Ethernet or Full Duplex operation. The screen also indicates whether or not each port is linked to another Ethernet device and if that port is enabled. For details, refer to

Section 5.19.

SMARTTRUNK CONFIGURATION

The SmartTrunk Configuration screen allows the user to logically group interfaces together to create wider bandwidth up links. For details, refer to Section 5.20.

MODULE SPECIFIC CONFIGURATION

The Module Specific Configuration Menu screen allows the user to configure ports or check system resources specific to the DLE2X-MA and DLE3X-MA. For details, refer to Section 5.21.
