5.6DEVICE CONFIGURATION MENU SCREEN

The Device Conﬁguration Menu screen, Figure 5-8, provides access to Local Management screens that allow you to conﬁgure and monitor operating parameters, modify SNMP community names, set SNMP traps, conﬁgure switch parameters, and conﬁgure 2M46-04R ports.

To access the Device Conﬁguration Menu screen from the Device Menu screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the DEVICE CONFIGURATION menu item and press ENTER. The Device Conﬁguration Menu screen displays.

NOTE

The Switch Conﬁguration menu will only display if the operational mode of the device has been set to 802.1D SWITCHING or 802.1Q SWITCHING. Refer to Section 5.7.9 for instructions on conﬁguring the device to operate in this mode.
