Using the Still Picture Recording Function Linked to an External Device

Sample Still Picture Recording Settings

Settings specified on the “Camera Settings” page (P.3-11)

Specify the appropriate settings for the VB-C10R being used.

Settings specified on the “Preset Settings” page (P.3-15)

Set a camera angle that shoots the open doorway as Preset 1.

Recording conditions to be set (P. 3-16)

Select “Record pictures in response to external inputs”.

Select “Record still pictures for validated external input events during the Start-Stop times specified below.”

Set start time to 17:00:00 and end time to 06:00:00.

Select all days of the week.

Select “ON event (OPEN to CLOSE)”.

At “Pre-event Recording”, set still pictures to be recorded every 1 second, and set “Record still picture(s) for every specified interval” to 3. With these settings, pictures will be recorded and stored every second starting 3 seconds before door opens.

*With “Pre-event Recording”, no picture is recorded the instant the input goes ON.

At “Post-event recording”, set still pictures to be recorded every 1 second, and set “Record still picture(s) for every specified interval” to 8. With these settings, pictures will be recorded and stored every second for 7 seconds starting from the instant the door opens.

*With “Post-event Recording”, pictures are recorded from the instant the input goes ON.

Set position of camera to be used for recording to Preset 1.

* Events occurring during the Post-event Recording are ignored.
