Setting Roaming Parameters in the Windows Control Panel

The Cisco Aironet 802.11a/b/g Wireless Adapter Properties window (see Figure 5-21) in the Windows Control Panel enables you to set two parameters that regulate the client adapter’s roaming capabilities.

Follow these steps to access the roaming parameters.

Step 1 Double-clickMy Computer, Control Panel, and System.

Step 2 Click the Hardware tab and Device Manager.

Step 3 Double-clickNetwork Adapters.

Step 4 Right-clickCisco Aironet 802.11a/b/g Wireless Adapter.

Step 5 Click Properties and the Advanced tab. The roaming parameters appear in the Property list. Table 5-5lists and describes the client adapter’s roaming parameters. Follow the instructions in the table to change the parameters.
