5.To clear the NVRAM, use the arrow keys to select YES and press ENTER. The message “CLEARING NVRAM. REBOOT IN PROGRESS...” displays. The device clears NVRAM and reboots. All user-entered parameters default to factory default settings.

4.2.12 Enabling/Disabling IP Fragmentation

To enable or disable IP Fragmentation, proceed as follows:

CAUTION: If the device is being bridged to an FDDI ring (for example, via an optional HSIM-F6), IP Fragmentation should be enabled. If it is disabled, all FDDI frames that exceed the maximum Ethernet frame size are discarded.

1.Use the arrow keys to highlight the IP Fragmentation field.

2.Press the SPACE bar to choose either ENABLED or DISABLED.

3.Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command.

4.Press ENTER. The message “SAVED OK” displays.
