6.4 SPANNING TREE PORT CONFIGURATION SCREEN
When to Use

To view the switch address of the selected STP VLAN ID, its VLAN age time, the total number of

ports, and the current MAC Address of a switch residing of each port.

The Spanning Tree Port Configuration screen is also used to allow or prevent ports from

participating in the default STP VLAN.

This screen also provides access to the PVST Configuration screen.

How to Access

Use the arrow keys to highlight the SPANNING TREE PORT CONFIGURATION menu item on

the Spanning Tree Configuration Menu screen, and press ENTER. The Spanning Tree Port

Configuration screen, Figure 6-4, displays.

about Spanning Trees and how to develop them. Otherwise, the proper operation of the

network could be at risk.
