Maintaining the FastIron GS Hardware

Figure 7.1 shows a front view of the AC power supply.

Removing an AC Power Supply

1.Unplug the power supply from the power source.

2.Disconnect the power cord from the power supply.

3.If necessary, remove the power supply locking screw located in the center rear of the FGS chassis.

4.Press inward on the two latches near the edges of the power supply to unlock the supply.

5.Hold the handle on the front panel of the power supply and pull outward. This will disconnect the power supply from the backplane.

6.Continue to pull the power supply until it is removed from the device.

7.Place the power supply in an anti-static bag for storage.
