Table B-14 show ib sm node subnet-prefix Command Syntax Descriptions (continued)

Syntax

Description

node guid

Use with the all keyword.

summary

Displays a Subnet Manager node summary.

Command Modes: User-execute and privileged-execute modes.

Privilege Level: InfiniBand read-only user.

Usage Guidelines: Use this command to display the configuration of all the nodes on a subnet, or to display the configuration of an individual node. The output may also be displayed in summary form. The summary comprises the subnet-manager prefix, the node GUID and type, and vendor identification.

The fields in the show ib sm node output are described in the table below.

Table B-15 show ib sm node subnet-prefix Command Field Descriptions

Field

Description

subnet-prefix

64-bit value that identifies the InfiniBand subnet to which this node belongs.

node-guid

GUID of this node.

description

Description of device, is one has been configured.

base-version

Supported base management datagram (MAD) version. Indicates that this channel adapter, switch,

or router supports up to and including this version. See section 13.4.2, Management Datagram

Format, in “InfiniBand® Architecture, Vol. 1, Release 1.0”, for more information.

class-version

Supported MAD class format version. Indicates that this channel adapter, switch, or router supports

up to, and including, this version. This column is displayed in the “Advanced” view only.

type

Type of node being managed. The value is channel adapter, switch, router, or error. error indicates

an unknown type.

num-ports

Number of physical ports on this node.

port-guid

GUID of this port. A port within a node can return the node GUID as its PortGUID if the port is an

integral part of the node and is not field-replaceable (i.e., not swappable). This column is displayed

in the “Advanced” view only.

partition-cap

Number of entries in the partition table for channel adapter, router, and the switch management

port. The value is the same for all ports on the node. This is set to at least 1 for all nodes including

switches. This column is displayed in the “Advanced” view only.

device-id

Manufacturer-assigned device identification. This column is displayed in the “Advanced” view

only.

revision

Manufacturer-assigned device revision. This column is displayed in the “Advanced” view only.

local-portnum

The link port number this subnet management packet (SMP) came in on. The value is the same for

all ports on the node. This column is displayed in the “Advanced” view only.

vendor-id

Device vendor ID. The value is the same for all ports on the node.

Examples: The following example displays the configuration of all the nodes on all the subnets on the InfiniBand fabric.
