Serviceguard and IPoIB

“Introduction”

“Configuring IPoIB Interfaces for Serviceguard Clusters”

Introduction

HP Fabric Clustering System for InfiniBand is supported with Serviceguard over IPoIB.

Serviceguard uses IPoIB interfaces as cluster heartbeat links. From Serviceguard's perspective, the IPoIB interfaces are similar to other LAN interfaces.

SGeRAC customers can take advantage of the HP Fabric Clustering System by sharing the Serviceguard heartbeat traffic and Oracle RAC cache fusion traffic in the same InfiniBand cluster.
