NOTE: The example below shows two ports, or spigots. Spigot 1 is a properly connected port because the “Spigot Online” is set to “YES” and the “Primary Network Address’ is displayed. Spigot 2 is not properly connected because the “Spigot Online” is set to “NO” and the “Primary Network Address’ is not displayed.

Syntax example: itutil

Output example:

Number of Spigots(Ports) on IA : 2

Spigot specific Information

Spigot identifer : 1

Spigot online : YES

Num Network Addresses : 1

Primary Network Address : fe80::ca07:2001

Spigot identifer : 2

Spigot online : NO

Num Network Addresses : <Unassigned>

4.View the topology of the host to ensure that connectivity is configured as expected.

Run itutil -T.Description: itutil -Tdisplays the topology of HP Fabric adapters on the host. Ensure that the “Configuration”, “Primary Remote Network Address” and “Node Description” output line items all contain the appropriate information for your configuration type. For more information on HP Fabric configuration types, see “Features, Parameters and Supported Configurations for Database/Oracle and TCP/UDP/IP Applications” (page 33).

Syntax example: itutil -T

5.Check communication path between nodes.

Run itutil -l.Description: itutil -ltests the connectivity path between nodes on the fabric. If two nodes are having a problem communicating, run this command to verify that the path between the two nodes is functional.

NOTE: The example below shows a host successfully connecting to a remote node with the display message “Linkloop Succeeded.”

Syntax example: itutil -l fe80::2:c901:8a0:8a11 ib0 1

Output example:

Testing connectivity to Network Address 0x<fe80::2:c901:8a0:8a11> from IA "ib0", spigot id "1"

Linkloop Succeeded.

6.Check adapter transport and performance statistics.

Run itutil -s.Description: itutil -sdisplays statistics for HP Fabric adapters, including transport and performance statistics.

NOTE: The example below shows one possible statistic result with the error value set to

1.The rest of the statistic results show no unusual statistic reports because the error values are equal to 0.

Syntax example: itutil -l fe80::2:c901:8a0:8a11 ib0 1
