Refresh input line.

Get next command from history.

Get previous command from history.

Return to use-execute mode. If a command is currently entered on the command line, execute

 

the command before returning to user-execute mode.

<Ctrl>t

Transpose current and previous character.

<Ctrl>u

Delete text up to cursor.

Delete word up to cursor.

<Ctrl>z

Return to user-privileged mode.

<Esc>b

Move back one word.

Convert rest of word to uppercase.

Exiting the CLI Session

To exit the CLI session, return to the user-execute or privileged-execute mode, and enter the logout command. The CLI session is terminated and you are returned to the CLI login prompt.

For example:

HP-IB(config-if-fc-5/1)# exit all

HP-IB> logout

Login:

NOTE: If you use Telnet or SSH to run a remote CLI session, the connection is dropped when you log out, or vice-versa.

Specifying the Card/Port

In many cases, you are asked to identify the card and/or the ports on a card to which to apply configuration commands. This section describes how to refer to slots and ports for configuration via the CLI.
