BASIC OPERATIONS

The transceiver has several tuning methods for convenient frequency tuning.

qPush the desired band key on the keypad 1–3 times.

•3 different frequencies can be selected on each band with the band key.

wRotate the main dial to set the desired frequency.

If the dial lock function is activated, the lock indicator

lights, and the main dial does not function. In this

case, push [LOCK] to deactivate the lock function. (see p. 5-17 for details)

Keypad

The transceiver has a keypad for direct frequency entry as described below.

qPush F-INPENT .

• “ F-INP” indicator appears and keypad backlight lights.

wInput the desired frequency

•Push GENE • to input “. (decimal point)” between the MHz units and kHz units.

ePush F-INPENTto set the input frequency.

• To cancel the input, push ∫ / √ instead of F-INPENT .
