4.5 Sending the Scanned Data by Fax

3.In the "Notification To (Sender’s e-Mail Address)" field, enter an e-mail address for Send Fax result alert e-mails.

e-Mail addresses may be up to 255 characters long. One of the following e-mail address formats must be used:

•XXXXXXX@IP_address

•XXXXXXX@Host_name

•XXXXXXX@Domain_name

XXXXXXX

Comprised of alphanumerics, hyphens (-), periods (.) and

 

underscores (_).

 

 

IP_address

Comprised of numbers separated by periods (.).

 

IP addresses within the following ranges may be used:

 

1.0.0.1 - 126.255.255.254

 

128.0.0.1 - 191.255.255.254

 

192.0.0.1 - 223.255.255.254

 

 

Host_name

Comprised of alphanumerics and hyphens (-) only. Initial character

 

may not be a hyphen.

 

 

Domain_name

Name elements comprised of alphanumerics and hyphens (-) are

 

separated by periods (.).

 

Each name element may contain up to 63 characters, and only

 

alphabetic characters may be used for the last element.

 

 

4. Press the [Scan&Send] button.

When [Scan Viewer] is On, this will be a [Scan] button.

⇒Scanning starts.

After the last page is displayed on the "Scanning" screen, the scan data is sent by fax, and the touch panel screen returns to the "Main Menu".

• "Scan Viewer" is initially "Off".

HINT•

When the [Scan] button is pressed (when [Scan Viewer] is "On"), each page is briefly shown on the screen as it is scanned.

When the scan has completed, the "Scan Viewer" screen opens.

5. Check the scanned data.
