Using Platen Glass

Use the platen glass to scan originals unsuitable for the document feeder.

Use the Platen store mode.

See p. 9-6 for the information on unsuitable RADF originals.

Incompatible Conditions: Using RADF, Transparency Interleave, Image Insert, Special Original (Non-Standard Size)

1.Open the document feeder.

The RADF indication on the Basic Screen will disappear and the 2a1 and 2a2 keys will be dimmed to show inactivity.

2. Position original FACE DOWN on the platen glass.

Be sure to start from the first page.

3.Touch 1a2 on the Basic Screen to highlight it.

Reminder!

DO NOT press [AUTO RESET] at this point, otherwise the selected mode will be released and the copier cannot scan the original placed on the glass.

4. Select additional copy conditions, as desired.

DETAILS

Some incompatible conditions may automatically release the selected copy mode. In this case, arrange settings so that they are compatible with the selected copy mode.
