TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR

STATIC SCR TEST

WARNING

Service and repair should be performed by only Lincoln Electric factory trained personnel. TEST DESCRIPTION

The Static SCR Test is a quick check to determine if an SCR is shorted or “leaky.” See the machine waveform section for normal and abnormal SCR waveforms.

MATERIALS NEEDED

Analog ohmmeter (Multimeter) 5/16” Nut driver

Machine Wiring Diagrams (See the Electrical Diagrams section of this manual.) SCR Test Points drawing, Figure F.18.
