Installation

This chapter contains the procedures necessary to install CS 1000 components and Ofﬁce Communications Server (OCS) 2007 on a CS 1000 system.

The ﬁrst step is to install the necessary CS 1000 components (if you do not already have a working CS 1000 system in place), and then install the Microsoft server components. After all hardware and software is installed, you can then conﬁgure the Telephony Gateway and Services or Remote Call Control components.

After conﬁguration is complete, normalization of telephone numbers, SIP routing, and redundancy help you integrate the Nortel and Ofﬁce Communications Server 2007 domains. Figure 27 "Installation and conﬁguration process" (page 102) illustrates this process.
