messages (page 59), you will know that there are no messages when the unit rings for the 3rd time. You can then hang up without being charged for the call.
Answering calls with an extension telephone
When answering a call after the greeting message has started or while the call is being recorded, press * 0 to stop the greeting message or recording and talk to the caller.
LThe code can be changed in feature #49 on page 64.
5.9.2 Activating FAX ONLY mode
1Make sure feature #77 is set to “FAX ONLY” beforehand (page 65).
2Press {AUTO ANSWER} repeatedly to display the following.

LThe {AUTO ANSWER} indicator on the base unit turns ON and uappears on the cordless handset display.
How faxes are received
When receiving calls, the unit will automatically answer all calls and only receive fax documents.
Note:
LThe number of rings before a call is answered in FAX ONLY mode can be changed (feature #06 on page 62).
5.10Receive polling (retrieving a fax placed on another fax machine)
This feature allows you to retrieve a document from another compatible fax machine. Therefore you pay for the call.
Make sure that no documents are fed into your unit and that the other party’s machine is ready for your call.

3Dial the fax number.
Using dial keys ({0} to {9}, {*} or {#}): Enter the fax number.

Using base unit phonebook:
Press {A} or {B} repeatedly to display the desired item.
4Press {FAX/START}.
LThe unit will start fax reception.
