[Formatting a memory]• This is usedfor formattingthe memory. Ifyou run [Format] on the memory, all
images,includingthe protectedimages,will be deleted. Be suretodownload
importantimages toyour PC beforeformattingthe memory.
• Submenus
[No] :The memory will notbe formatted. Pressthe
menubuttonthree times andthe menu
displaywiltdisappear.
[Yes]: A [ProceseingE]messageappears andthe
memorywill be formatted. If you run
FORMATin Play mode,a [No Image!]
messagewillappear.
Besure to run [Format] on the following types of memory card.
-A new memory card, oran unformattedmemory card
-A memory cardthat hasa filethis camera can't recognise or onethat has been
takenfrom another camera.
-Always format the memory card using this camera. If you insertamemory card
thathas been formatted usingothercameras, memory card readers,or POs,
youwill get a [Card Error!] message.
[Settingup the Date/Time/Date type]• Youcanchange the dateand timethat willbe displayed on the captured images
andset up the date type.

RIGHTbutton :Selects the year/month/day/
hour/minute date type.
LEFTbutton :Movesthe cursortothe
[Date&Time]main menuifthe
cursoris at the first item of the
dateand time setup.Inall other
cases,the cursor wilt beshifted to
theleft of itscurrentposition.
UPand DOWN buttons :Changesthe settingvalue
-Date type : [yy/mm/dd], [mm/dd/yy], [dd/mm/yy], [Off]
